NON PARTISAN BALLOT SYSTEM
FOR ELECTION OF TOWN OFFICERS

According to Annual Town Meeting held March 9, 1943, the town voted to adopt the provisions of Chapter 22, Laws of 1943, “an act to provide for non-partisan ballot system for town elections.”

The first article of the Town Warrant will be to choose Town Officers. All candidates for elective office must be registered voters of Peterborough and are required to file with the Town Clerk. The filing period will begin March 22, 2023 during regular office hours (M-Tu-W-F, 8:30AM to  4:00PM and Th 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM.) The period ends on March 31, 2023 when the hours for filing on that date will be from 8:30AM through 5:00PM.

The following Town Officers are to be elected on May 9, 2023:

One Selectman for Three Years
One Trustee of the Trust Funds for Three Years
Three Members of the Budget Committee for Three Years
Two Members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for Three Years
One Cemetery Trustee for Three Years
Two Library Trustees for One Year
Two Members of the Planning Board for Three Years
Two Members of the Recreation Committee for Three Years

Voting will take place at the Community Center on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The polls will open at 7:00AM and close at 7:00PM.
