Recycling Attendant 1 – Full-Time
The Peterborough DPW Recycling Division is accepting applications for the position of Recycling Attendant 1 Full Time. We are looking for a team player that can work in a professional, fast paced, customer-oriented environment. This is an excellent career opportunity with a great organization that offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, a retirement package, four day 10-hour work week, and advancement opportunities. Job responsibilities will include general recycling duties and operation of balers and forklift. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 mos. experience as a solid waste operator preferred, but the Town will consider an appropriate combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge and skills to perform the job. Training will be available to the chosen candidate. Competitive pay is offered for this position.

ENERGY AND COMMUNITY PLANNER - OFFICE OF PLANNING & BUILDING

Under the direction of the Director of Planning & Building, you will play a crucial role in guiding and facilitating the implementation of our recently adopted Peterborough Renewable Energy Plan while managing community and economic development initiatives.
Your keen research skills will come into play as you identify and fulfill grant writing opportunities to secure additional resources. As the point-person for residents and businesses, you will provide guidance on energy efficiency programs, funding sources, and other initiatives. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of community and economic development programs that foster sustainable growth. Coordinating public outreach activities will be essential to engage residents and businesses in our community. As part of our dynamic team, you will provide staff support to various boards, committees, and subcommittees. You will collaborate with the PREP Team and other energy-related Town Committees, contributing to energy research and updates to master plans.

The Peterborough Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the upcoming 2023 Summer Season! Multiple divisions have positions that need to be filled. The Peterborough Recreation Department is looking for energetic, motivated, friendly and committed staff members to make the facilities enjoyable to use or have the summer programs run efficiently and effectively. CPR/AED and Basic First Aid is required, but we can train in-house if you are not currently certified. Clean background checks, drug tests and possible driving records are required.
