Do you want to stay updated on Town Alerts & Advisories?

Peterborough uses the NIXLE System, a secure messaging service, to send alerts via text message and/or email (recipient's choice) to subscribers. NIXLE has been used around the country to help find missing seniors or children, evacuate flooded areas, and alert communities of criminal activity. The Town most often utilizes the system to alert residents of accidents/road closures, disruptions to utilities, and snow emergencies. To sign up, enter your mobile number and/or email address in the form, visit and register a citizen account, or text the word TOPALERT to 888777 to register for SMS notifications.

Select Board: Next scheduled Select Board meeting is Tuesday, October 4th. The agenda will be available by Friday, September 30th.

Library: One year later- Tell us what you think!  Peterborough Town Library has been open one full year, since the huge renovation project completed in September 2021. A lot has been accomplished. We have had an increase in our daily visits and circulation of print materials and welcomed 871 new library card holders.  We are so glad to have your support and now we ask for your feedback. Please tell us how we are doing and help us continue to meet your expectations.

Take 5-10 minutes to answer 12 questions and be entered to win a $50 gift card to Aesop's Table. Survey closes October 1st.

Recreation: As of September 7th, Stickers are no longer required to park at Cunningham Pond. The restrooms have been locked, but a porta-potty will remain onsite through September 29th.

Mark your calendars: The Recreation Department is planning the 2nd Annual Howl-o-Ween Dog Costume Parade! Pup owners, start planning your costumes!
