Public Works: NH DES Northeast drought monitoring has reported our location to be at a moderate drought condition level. In New Hampshire, drought preparedness and response efforts are coordinated through a Drought Management Team (DMT) comprised of 30 stakeholders and led by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). During a drought, NHDES works closely with DMT members, public water systems and municipalities to collect and disseminate information related to drought conditions and forecasts, water restrictions, emergency supply guidance, drought impacts, and residential well management. Town Clerk:  Summer Office Hours: The Town Clerk's office will be closed on Fridays during the summer months through Friday, September 2nd.  Except Monday September 5th  Labor Day, the Town Clerk’s office will be open Monday - Wednesday, 8:30am - 4pm, and Thursday, 11am - 6:30pm.

Peterborough dog owners: NH State law requires that all dogs be licensed annually by April 30th. Civil forfeiture fines will be issued after June 15th to owners of each unlicensed dog.

Finance DepartmentProperty Tax bills were mailed on May 26th and will be due for payment by July 1st. Tax payments can be paid online here: Property Taxes

Recycling Center: Full-Time Recycling Center Attendant 1, employment opening: We are looking for a team player that can work in a professional, fast paced, customer-oriented environment. This is an excellent career opportunity with a great organization that offers excellent benefits, competitive pay, a retirement package, four day 10-hour work week, and advancement opportunities. Job responsibilities will include general recycling duties and operation of balers and forklift. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 mos. experience as a solid waste operator preferred, but the Town will consider an appropriate combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge and skills to perform the job. Training will be available to the chosen candidate. Competitive pay is offered for this position. A three-day charette-style forum will be hosted in the Select Board meeting room at the Town House. Attendees will work through intensive assessment and visioning around the identified area of the Downtown. Refreshments and light snacks will be available. Picnic at Cunningham Pond: Friday July 22nd 10am-1:00pm Free Event, Pack a lunch, bring a chair, take a swim, and have fun. Advanced reservations required by July 15th

Panini Day: Friday August 12th 10:30am-12:30pm $10 per person Celebrate national panini month by creating a delicious panini with an array of ingredients while learning about this fun sandwich. Advanced reservations required by August 5th.
