Holiday Closure for Town Buildings  ~Independence Day Thursday, July 4th~

Town Clerk: Did you forget to license your dog(s)? NH State law requires that all dogs be licensed annually by April 30th. A current rabies certificate is required. Dog license renewals may be done online through the eb2gov system on the Town of Peterborough website. Or you may come by the Town Clerk’s office M-Th 8:30am – 5:30pm. Late fees will be assessed on June 1st and civil forfeiture fines were issued on June 17th to owners of all dogs that remain unlicensed for 2024.

Tax Collector: Property Tax bills have been sent out and will be due for payment by July 1st. If you would like to pay online, please visit: the EB2 Gov website for property taxes payment. Search for your account using map/parcel number, account ID, address, or last name.  Once you've located your account, you can view your current balance, forecasted balance and your payment history.

Department of Public Works: JOB OPENINGS

Our Public Works Dept. is accepting applications for a couple of full-time positions: Truck Driver/General Laborer and a Facilities/Grounds Maintenance Technician. Job responsibilities may include the operation of heavy equipment including dump trucks, plow trucks, backhoes, loaders, and other equipment in support of Dept. objectives; manual labor in support of the maintenance of public streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, and other Town-owned property, including buildings; roadside mowing; street sweeping; traffic safety; and other duties as required to help achieve Dept. initiatives. Also, maintenance and care for town-owned grounds, parks, and other public areas; miscellaneous projects to enhance the appearance and functionality of public spaces; and, winter operations, including snow removal and ice control efforts.

Persons with construction, carpentry, landscaping, paving, building and facility maintenance, or similar skills and experience are encouraged to apply. Normal working hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm 10-hour workday schedule, with mandatory overtime for emergencies and weather events.

PREP is starting a new program to help people who are contemplating energy efficiency or renewable energy work in their homes.
