Town Meeting - Absentee Voting and Absentee Voting Registration

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State have all agreed that all voters have a reasonable ground to conclude that a "physical disability" exists, and therefore all voters may request an absentee ballot on that basis.  To reduce the risk of exposure by voters and poll workers, we are urging all voters to vote in the July 14th 2020 Town Meeting via absentee ballot.

To vote by absentee ballot, download, print and complete the "Absentee Ballot Request - Town or School Election" form below.

If you are requesting an absentee ballot due to the COVID-19 emergency, in Section II check the fourth box, "I am unable to vote in person due to a disability."

Then, Mail or hand deliver the form to: Town Clerk, Town of Peterborough; 1 Grove Street; Peterborough, NH 03458.

Hand delivered applications may be left in the secured drop box on the front door of the Town House.

Alternatively, you can fax the form to (603) 924-8001, or scan and email the form to lguyette at peterboroughnh.gov

Residents may also request an absentee voter registration packet by contacting the Town Clerk as show above, or by phone: (603) 924-8000 x.105

Question:  I know Absentee Ballots have already been sent to individuals who requested them, but why isn't there a Sample Ballot on the Home page of the website? - Loretta Laurenitis, Four Winds Farm Road

Answer: The sample ballot has been posted on the Town Meeting page of the website with other Town Meeting-related informational documents since June 17th.
