Peterborough Community Power is Launching Soon!
It’s coming! By late April, Peterborough Community Power will bring lower rates and more renewable options to Peterborough electricity customers.
The latest projected timeline for remaining steps is as follows:
- Mar 28: Customer notifications mailed providing details about rates, enrollment, options, and contact info.

- Customers currently enrolled with Eversource as their Supplier may choose an optional rate tier or opt-out. Otherwise, they will automatically be enrolled in the Community Power default rate tier (Granite Plus).
- Customers currently enrolled with an alternate Supplier, may opt-in and choose a rate tier. Otherwise, they’ll remain enrolled with their current Supplier.
- Apr 5: Public Information Session, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Peterborough Town Library – 1833 Room.
- Late April: Customer enrollment completed and program launched.
Completed Steps:

- Select Board approved Community Power Plan draft as written and submitted by Community Power Task Force
- Public Hearings were held by Community Power Task Force
- Community Power Plan was approved overwhelmingly by voters at May ’22 Town Meeting
- Select Board approved execution of Joint Power Agreement to join the Community Power Coalition of NH (CPCNH)
- NH Public Service Commission issued final rules for Community Power Aggregation plans
- Peterborough Community Power Plan amended by Select Board to comply with PUC rules
- Peterborough Community Power Plan submitted to PUC for approval
- PUC issued approval of Peterborough Community Power Plan
- Select Board accepted Community Power Task Force’s recommendation of CPCNH as the Service Provider for Peterborough Community Power and adopted the CPCNH Cost Sharing Agreement and policy documents
- Select Board changed the Community Power Task Force to the Community Power Committee, an ongoing town committee for oversight of our community power program
