Community Meals To Go!

Community Meals To Go! logo- cleanCommunity Meals To Go! addresses two big impacts of the Covid Pandemic:  growing food insecurity and keeping our restaurants in business during the winter months and through May 2021.

WE DONATED!
More than $86,000 was raised through tax-deductible donations payable to our fiscal sponsor, the Cornucopia Project, 49 Vose Farm Road, Suite 110, Peterborough, NH 03458. Donations closed on May 23, 2021.

RESTAURANTS COOKED! Seven local restaurants were contracted and paid to prepare and package over 7,000- healthy meals that were delivered to South Meadow School in Peterborough on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 5pm distribution. At the close of the distribution, all remaining funds (more than $8,000) were used to purchase gift cards from more than 20 restaurants and food-based businesses, and provided to a dozen area human service providers to distribute to their clients throughout the balance of the year.

COMMUNITY MEMBERS WERE FED! Individuals and families from Peterborough (60%), and more than a dozen surrounding towns (40%), who faced food insecurity during the pandemic picked up meals for themselves and their neighbors.  Any remaining meals were donated to the Peterborough Food Pantry and the South Meadow School student pantry for distribution.

Information and updates were provided on the Community Meals Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/communitymealstogo
